To get your own website go to http://www.kwikwap.co.za and click where it says Get a Website.

You now are ready to start creating your own website!

Start by entering your Name, Surname, Business Name, E Mail Address, Contact Number.

You must also select your area of operation.

Remember: You can always go back and edit your website. Everything can be changed by yourself, easily! So don't be scared. Just do it!

You will then need an agent code. Use 711106fm.

Click on next.

You are now ready to start entering basic details like your company name and telephone numbers. This is really very straight forward. You must also select your own username or company code. 

Company Code

The company code which you select is the only thing that you can not change. If you select "freewebsites" as your company code your initial website address will be www.kwikwap.co.za/freewebsites untill you upgrade and get your own domain such as www.freewebsitessa.co.za . You can also choose a .com or .mobi or co.uk domain.

Main Description

Here you select your page headings. This is important. You must choose words you want search engines to find. You have to repeat these words or descriptions later in your website. 

Website

Only if you already own a domain you can enter your website address in this section. It is important to go back and complete this at a later stage if you take the R99 package where you get a forwarded domain.

A forwarded domain redirects to your Kwikwap Address once entered into the address bar.

Eg if you take a R99 package you will get a domain like www.freewebsitessa.co.za which will redirect to www.kwikwap.co.za/freewebsites . The address bar will change.

Logo

When creating your website you can upload a logo initially or if you do not have a logo ready you can upload it later

You have to enter your about us. Normally you find this information on your company profile. When creating your website for the first time do not spend too much time. Just write a short sentence and click next.

You must now enter the number of products. Just type one or two as you are busy creating a shell or framework. You can go back later and enter many more products.

Type one or two and click next.

You must now describe your products. Once again just enter short descriptions. You can go back later and edit your whole website.

We have more than 5 templates available than those showing at the initial creation stage. Select any of the templates to proceed with the next step.

You can later easily change from one template to the other without losing any of your data.

You must now click on the color wheel to select a general color scheme. Once again nothing is final. Just select something which you more or less like and click on the button Create Site. You will be able to later log in and change all your colors.

You are now done! You will now be able to visit www.kwikwap.co.za and log into your website's management portal. You do this by logging in (At the bottom right of the screen at www.kwikwap.co.za) with your chosen username and password.

After you have created your website by following the simple step by step instructions in the previous top section you will be able to log into your website's management portal with your username and password. Your username is the only thing you will not be able to change. Today you can sell motor vehicles and tomorrow you can sell lingerie on your website.

When logging into your website you will see the following page:

 The websites management portal was designed to more or less coincide with the look of your website. More than 90% of our customers want an easy to manage weOnce you have created bsite while a small percentage want fancy things built in. Kwikwap aims to keep the 90% plus happy.

Already there are things like youtube videos, chatrooms etc. that can be embedded onto your website. You can have an online shop with credit card facilities-so in essence your Kwikwap Website can give you what you need in a website.

Once you have created your website you can browse the management portal and click on buttons. You should see that the website's are easy to manage. If you can figure out facebook then your Kwikwap Website should be a joke.

Manage Website Content

Here you will be spending most of your time. This is where you build your website. 

Additional modules

Kwikwap have and will be designing industry specific modules that you can enable and disable. Once you have activated a module you will be able to find the module in the Manage Website Content Section. Most of the modules are free of charge. You need to do a website upgrade to R150 ex vat if you want to activate the online ordering module.

Look and feel

This is where you upload logos to your website. Either a single image or a series of JPeg images. Certain Gif Images also work.

This is also where you select a template for your website. You can have a new template every day of the week if you like. You don't loose any data. It is just where the information is displayed that changes. There are currently 11 customizable templates and 36 pre - defined templates.

Comm with customers

This is where you can communicate with customers via SMS or E Mail. You can upload your mailing list and order them into groups. You can send e mails , free of charge, and SMS at 25cents each to selected recipient groups. When sending E mails the client sees your Webpage Logo. Clients can decide to unsubscribe from your mailing list. This functionality is free of charge. When you send out an SMS it can be hyperlinked back to the applicable page of your website. Remember your website is also a Mobi Website. THe websites open easily on Cellphones.

Admin and Reports

You will visit this section to request a domain or to see how manay websites hits you have had. You can also see what people type in when visiting your website.

Help

There is also a help section where you can ask questions and see answers.
